PERFECTION IS NOT ALWAYS THE BEST.

I don’t know about you, but for me, when I began the switch to real food, it was all very confusing. I also had the tendency to want to be perfect or nothing. We all know that perfection is the road to destruction, especially when it comes to food, am I right? I believe that finding a good balance is the KEY to making real food doable.

The Real Food GOOD-BETTER-BEST Principle goes along well with the 80/20 rule that I just wrote about. The goal here is to seek the best foods you can and not worry when you can’t be perfect. Eating healthy, yet not stressing about it, is a great place to be! And I can always vouch for real food, since it’s done some amazing things for this body of mine!

What do you think? How’s your transition to real food coming along? Wanna see my Real Food Substitutions Graphic? Click here.

ABOUT DANELLE

DaNelle started to take an interest in a healthier lifestyle after suffering from two debilitating chronic diseases. On a mission to create a farm of her own, DaNelle forced, or rather 'lovingly persuaded' her husband to purchase a ranch home on an acre of land and transform it into their very own urban farm. DaNelle blogs at Weed 'em & Reap where she writes about the sustainable backyard farming, traditional food, & natural remedies.

DaNelle, Can I tell you how much I love this? What a great, simple and clear reference guide that everyone can use to help make some better food choices. I’m having a “why didn’t I think of this first” moment! Kudos to you!

    Dear DaNelle,

thank you so much for this website! I hab allready read a book about real food about a year ago. But it was only said how to eat, but not how to manage healthy eating in every day life. You´re blog is such a help, I´m totally inspired – especially about the how to get cheap good meat thing. I am totally gonna do that!

I am so excited to have found your blog! I look forward to following along. Great graphics, great topics. Emily and I have become fed up with the extremes out there (100% this or that) and have decided we wanted to let people in to see our NOT PERFECT lives. We’ll leave perfection to other people. 🙂 We just try to be really good at what is important to us, and one of those things for me is Real Food (and for Em, that’s gardening). So I think we may have found one of our new favorite blogs to read. Yippee!! Look forward to pointing some of our readers toward your content.

I would also like this graphic and the food substitution graphic when they are available. They are a big help. Will you have them in wallet size also? Thanks!

      Hi Dianne,

Wallet size would probably be too small, but you can click on the image and then right click & print from your computer.

      Hope that helps!
