It takes a lot longer than we thought to fix up the house. We have been working like crazy to get the house prepped to be painted the first coat of Kilz. We removed all the brick around the fireplace, removed the old appliances & ceiling fans, patched the ceiling where we removed the wall, extended the door frame of the master bath, caulked all baseboards and door frames, then taped off all windows, countertops, fireplace, lights, toilets and baths. We are soooooo tired but, we’ve been lucky to have free labor from Dad, Sean, Becky, Dave & Priscilla.(Those who haven’t given service to us yet, we WILL get you eventually!) We have been mostly blessed with cool weather and happy kids. Here’s one of their “inventions”. Don’t know what it’s supposed to do, but it’s sure cute. Day 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10......

Day 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10...... After the Kilz treatment, we got the vents cleaned so we can turn the AC on finally! Next up is pouring concrete to fill the old “front room”, painting doors, cabinets, walls, trim and installing all the flooring….then we will hopefully be done!!!!

Day 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10......

Day 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10......
Our block wall almost done, this thing I think will have caused us more heck than the entire remodel alone.

ABOUT DANELLE

DaNelle started to take an interest in a healthier lifestyle after suffering from two debilitating chronic diseases. On a mission to create a farm of her own, DaNelle forced, or rather 'lovingly persuaded' her husband to purchase a ranch home on an acre of land and transform it into their very own urban farm. DaNelle blogs at Weed 'em & Reap where she writes about the sustainable backyard farming, traditional food, & natural remedies.

Well, it’s simply just a few using a home equity loan to pay for off your education loans, and quite quickly too payday loans payday loans charge a higher interest rate than long-term bank loans since they may be lending lower levels of greenbacks instantly without doing a credit report checks.

Free labor?!?!? I thought we were getting paid for all the work we did. That’s just not right..

Wow, that’s a lot of work! It will be so nice when it’s done though.
