We have been having fun living in our new house! Living in a remodel is kind of frustrating, but we’ll get there soon enough. Here’s a picture of Lydia, she fell asleep on our current time out chair the little stinker. The puppies are getting bigger and we are excited to see them get older and cuter. Kevin, Becky, Tara, Mom and I went to see Wicked last week. Kevin, Tara and I had already seen it in LA but it was so fun to take Becky and Mom and see their faces, its such an awesome show! We had AMAZING tickets we were 5th Row from the stage! Now that we have spent all our money on the house, it’s time to save and live like we were in college. YUCK! Gotta get that savings up! Now we’re back to a tiny budget which really forces you to be creative for meals. Last week we made Hot Dog boats. It’s the ultimate cheap meal. It’s a hot dog, split down the middle with mashed potates and cheese on top. I used to eat it as a kid so I thought it would be fun to make and my kids about freaked out when they saw it. It was too weird for them. Kevin ate it, but then again he eats anything. Has anybody else ever had this before?

ABOUT DANELLE

DaNelle started to take an interest in a healthier lifestyle after suffering from two debilitating chronic diseases. On a mission to create a farm of her own, DaNelle forced, or rather 'lovingly persuaded' her husband to purchase a ranch home on an acre of land and transform it into their very own urban farm. DaNelle blogs at Weed 'em & Reap where she writes about the sustainable backyard farming, traditional food, & natural remedies.

Richard has! I read this out loud to him, and he’s like, “Ah, that’s so good! My mom used to make that all the time!”
