Let me guess.
I bet you had some big dreams when you were younger, didn't you? Maybe it was an all-consuming mission to change the world or create something great. Whatever it was, I bet it was like a shot of adrenaline every time you thought about it, and it kept you up at night, dreaming of the possibilities. But it didn't quite play out like you thought, did it?
Sometimes life doesn't turn out like we planned. Maybe we choose a different path or maybe our health forces us to, but before we know it, those passions somehow drifted away and we awoke to find ourselves following the "everybody does it" traditional path of working all day to pay the bills so we can keep the lights on and food on the table (just so we can wake up to do it all over again the next day). Put in your 40+ years and if you're lucky, you might have enough to scrape by in your golden years. Life has a tendency to sweep us away in the river of least-resistance, and then leaves us feeling disillusioned and wondering how the heck we got there.
I didn't always have it together.
For those of you who don't know me, my health story has been a rollercoaster of discouragement, frustration, and hopelessness.
My health issues started when I was newly married and in the trenches of nursing school in 2002. I woke up one morning with my back out. I had a couple chiropractic adjustments, took some ibuprofen, and was on my merry little naive way. Two weeks later, I found out I was pregnant with my first child and I didn’t give my back a second thought until after I had my adorable baby and the back pain started to creep in again. Regular adjustments at the chiropractor did help, but the pain never went away, and it got worse every time I tried to workout, so I took it easy and just focused on my adorable family.
For the next 6 years, I did everything I could to “figure out this back thing”. I spent tens of thousands of dollars on chiropractors, massage therapists, specialists, physical therapists, pain specialists, along with a few quacks tossed in along the way.
In 2007, I found myself sitting in a surgeon’s office at the ripe old age of 26. He looked at my xrays and told me everything I’d already heard a million times — that I had two bulging discs and that surgery was the most likely option.
So we did surgery (endoscopic discectomy on L4-L5 and L5-S1), but it wasn’t the fairytale ending I was promised it would be. A couple years after the surgery the pain was back. It was slightly different, but it was back. Now I had back pain with a side of sciatica. Good times.
Despite my best efforts at watching how I lifted and taking care of my health, flare ups would happen every few months like clockwork. Life was hell, and I couldn’t enjoy my family or experience life like I wanted to. It got worse to where I could only walk a short distance – maybe 1/4 a mile – before I’d be in pain.
So back to the surgeon in 2009 I went, defeated and sobbing about how nothing was ever going to get better. Another MRI showed a small bulge but nothing too serious, yet, we decided on another back surgery. That decision ended up being an incredibly bad decision. Turns out the pain I was experiencing this second time around wasn’t coming from the disc, but from untrained & fatigued muscles around my hips & back. The surgery did nothing more than cause nerve damage, and give me the worst epidural headache which brought me back to the operating room to repair. It was a rough time for me.
I had little options left. I could live with the pain or I could do a complete disc replacement surgery.
To make things worse, I also developed debilitating dizziness & fatigue. It felt surreal, to be so young and yet have so many health issues.
I felt lost, confused, & desperate.
I decided to focus on eating real food. If anything, I could keep my diet clean to help my body heal. I made some great improvements with a healthier diet and I was able to lose weight, and start to feel better.
But managing my chronic back spasms & dizziness was something I needed help with. So I turned to natural solutions and that's when I was introduced to essential oils.
For me, it was a God send. To be able to use something so simple yet have really amazing results was a life saver. I could use essential oils to relax my back, reduce swelling, ease nausea, and sleep well. These all seem so small, yet are such a big deal when you are desperate to live a normal life and just need some relief without side effects.
Learning about essential oils, using them in my own life, then teaching others how to do the same has been such a perfect fit for me. One of the biggest things people with chronic issues struggle with is their worth as a person, of their ability to contribute in their life. Helping others & growing a business from home was proof to myself that I am capable, strong, and can do anything other people can. I may have to slow down sometimes, but I am valuable and can have anything I want in life.
What if you could create the life you really want?
I've been where you are. I always had this nagging feeling I was destined for more, but the path felt unsure, especially with my health concerns. Aside from nursing school, I didn't have any formal business education, and creating a REAL business from home? Yeah right... those opportunities never seemed to be legitimate.
Because of my success with using essential oils, I studied more about the business side and 2014 was the year I was decided to actually grow a business sharing dōTERRA essential oils.
Nope, I didn't see the potential at first. Once I got over my initial skepticism ("Nobody's gonna want to learn about essential oils..."), I had lots of reasons why this opportunity wasn't for me. ("I'm too busy... I have a blog to run...health issues to take care of...")
But, those crazy oils kept giving me results, and after several profound experiences with them, I couldn't help but blab about them to everyone I knew. My passion quickly morphed into a business, and once I made the choice to take the opportunity seriously, I started to see massive growth.
Fast-forward 2.5 years? dōTERRA is my family's full-time income. I set my own hours and run the business right here from our homestead while my kids run around in the background. My husband quit his job this year, and he is now able to be home with us, and our life is unlike anything we could have imagined. I connect with people all over the world and get to have a front row seat as I see lives being changed. And finally-- the strange void I felt for so long has been filled.
In 2015, I achieved a top rank in the company -- Diamond. But that doesn't mean I'm stopping. Sharing the beauty of essential oils has become a part of my life. It's what I do. My dreams and mission have only become bigger. These oils have a big story, and I'm going to keep telling it.
And I hope you'll join me so I can show you how I did it.
So where do you fit in?
Maybe you've felt guilty for ignoring your passion for so long. Maybe you've just assumed it's too late for you.
Guess what? It's not. You still have the choice and ability to create the life you REALLY want. It's still out there, waiting for you to find it. The best way to start out on a new path is to find someone who's been there, done that, to walk alongside you. And I'm willing to be that person.
I'm currently looking for highly-driven, motivated individuals to partner with on my dōTERRA team. I'll provide the training, you bring your passion and determination. My team is already filled with success stories. Will yours be next?

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a Pyramid Scheme?
No. Pyramid schemes are actually illegal. This is authentic network marketing-- they are very different. dōTERRA is a product-based company with an extremely high customer retention rate because the oils work.
“If you are a person with big dreams and would love to support others in achieving their big dreams, then the network marketing business is definitely a business for you. You can start your business part-time at first and then as your business grows, you can help other people start their part-time business. This is a value worth having – a business and people who help others make their dreams come true.” — Robert T. Kiyosaki, Entrepreneur and Author
“The future of network marketing is unlimited. There’s no end in sight. It will to continue to grow, because better people are getting into it. They are raising the entire standard of MLM to the point where soon, it will be one of the most respected business methods in the world.” – Brian Tracy, Author and Motivational Speaker
“Network marketing is the big wave of the future. It’s taking the place of franchising, which requires too much capital for the average person.”--Jim Rohn, Author, Motivational Speaker, and Entrepreneur
What if I want to start a blog to share oils?
I have used my blog to share oils with many people. However, believe it or not, I recommend that the majority of people NOT start this way. Unless you have an existing blog with traffic and existing readership, attempting to only share oils online can be extremely tedious and frustrating. You are much better off (and will see better results) but sharing locally first. I am happy to discuss this more over the phone, though.
And there is a big opportunity to share on social media -- if you do it correctly & tastefully. The good news is I have training that will show you exactly how to do that.
Am I required to invest something?
To sign up with your wholesale account, you can either purchase a kit (these start at $150) or you can pay a $35 fee to enroll under me.
For only those who are sharing oils, in order to earn your income, you will need to order 100PV (roughly $100) per month. This ensures you are using the product you are sharing, and gives you a chance to try all the products.
Other than that, there are no quotas, no sales minimums, and you do NOT need to keep closets of inventory. When you compare that to the start up costs of a traditional business, it's quite remarkable, and makes it attainable for anyone to enter this business.
There are lots of essential oil teams...why yours?
I can sum it up in one word: SUPPORT.I get frustrated emails from folks constantly who signed up under a random person, and now feel confused about how to use their oils or how to effectively share with others. My team stretches all over the globe, and I am crazy-passionate about making sure you have the information and training you need to feel confident in both using and sharing your oils. We've been there, done that, and will show you how.
How many hours per week should I expect to committ to this?
How fast do you want to build? You get to pick your pace, although I will say that it is easier to build fast than it is to build slow.I have people on my team sharing part-time at 5-15 hours per week, and I have others growing more quickly by committing 20-40 hours per week. This is definitely something we can discuss more over the phone.
How do I share oils?
Most people have the best success with small, informal gatherings. (Either in their home, or at a restaurant or library). We have materials and scripts to help you get started with these. You can also share one-to-one or hand out samples, etc.
It's about being helpful, not salesy. I have a full training program that shows you how to do that.
I'm already on another dōTERRA team. Can I switch to yours?
No, you will need to stay where you are. In order to preserve the high-integrity culture of dōTERRA, I do not participate in cross-recruiting or coach people how to leave their existing teams. However, you will likely be able to find the support you need by reaching out to an upline higher in your particular structure.
This opportunity is for people who are:
- Highly passionate and decisive
- Ready to start creating the life they want
- Willing to actively share something they believe in with the people around them.
- Willing to start out with an enrollment kit (these start at $150)
- Willing to devote focused time each week to sharing oils with others
- Dedicated to placing a consistent, monthly order. (This enables you to earn commission and bonus checks--I will show you how to quickly build your income to cover the cost of this monthly order)
NETWORK MARKETING HAS COME OF AGE. IT’S UNDENIABLE THAT IT HAS BECOME A WAY TO ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INDEPENDENCE FOR MILLIONS OF PEOPLE.

can you only milk a goat once it have have babies?
and can you milk pigmy goats?
(farm expert) Bobbi Luttjohann says
Hi Kiera-
You are correct. You can only get milk from a doe once they have had their kids. Once they have had kids and their milk has come in they are what is called freshened.
Yes, you can milk pygmy goats. They give about 1 quart to half a gallon on average. Here is a link to one of DaNelle’s articles talking about raising and milking and goats. https://www.weedemandreap.com/raising-goats-milking-goats/
I hope all this helps! Happy Goating! -Bobbi

Trying to see if it’s worth butchering a ram a little over a year old? He has become very aggressive and now ramming others that come to our farm. I have only had lamb chops and never an adult ram to my knowledge so any help is appreciated! Thanks so much
DaNelle Wolford says
Definitely worth it if he’s just over a year!
Amber says
Hey DaNelle!
I am moving home to Canada in the next month, is doTERRA an international sort of thing? Can I work under you and do it from Canada? I am very interested! Thanks for the information!
P.S. – I am hope to be heading on the exact same path you are (farming wise) in the next 2-5 years and seeing how you use doTERRAs products on your farm would be way helpful in my future as a farmer!
DaNelle Wolford says
Yes, absolutely! In fact, I have an amazing Canada team under me. Where in Canada do you live? I’ll send you an email too:)

My wife and I are very new to this. We are going to buy a couple of goats for pets. I doubt that we would ever want goat’s milk. Will goats keep down the grass in their pen? We will definitely be feeding them pellets or hay, but I don’t like the idea of having to weed eat inside the pen. Thoughts? Also, you’re likely going to hear from us again as we have more and more questions leading up to our goat purchase. Thanks!
DaNelle says
Hi! Here is a link to all of my posts about goats. I hope it helps!
